What if the classic RPG "Chrono Trigger" was published in comic book form? I thought it would be fun to draw a series of comic covers as if that had happened...covers depicting the events in the game's story.
I am drawing an entire series of these in my own cartoony style.
Story:
This 12th issue would be the journey through the ruins of what's left of the future. Crono, Marle and Lucca travel east where they meet Johnny the Man who challenges them to a race.
(This is only fan art. Chrono Trigger belongs to Square Enix.)

It's a sequel... uses basically the same mechanics, and ties in rather firmly with Chrono Trigger about halfway through.

Okay.
First, you have to lose the race. Then, walk through the ruins. You'll find a box with an item called "Race Log". Bring it to Johnny and his scorekeeper will appear. At this point, you can earn points. The higher your score, the better prizes you can obtain, like the potions I mentioned.

I've found the Race Log before, but never did anything with it. I just continued on with the game.
