You know what the worst part is? Aaron Springer co-wrote this episode. Yes, the same guy who wrote Band Geeks and Krusty Krab Training Video.

Just what was the inspiration for this episode,the writers were probably just sitting around thinking "We really turned SpongeBob into a cry baby, wow we really have outdone ourselves, lets celebrate that by dedicating an entire episode to it! Quick call Nickelodeons studio!

I think the point of the episode was this

"Hmm a lot of people have noticed that Spongebob cries a lot lately"

"So do we stop the problem?"

"Heck no let's take advantage of it and make  a whole episode about it!"

"Won't it get really annoying?"

"Seriously Aaron? When have we ever cared about if a plot is annoying or not?"

I think in this episode, the real reason he's crying is that Spoungebob's finally realized how poorly the show's gotten and has decided to go against the writers. In an episode with no crying, he decided to see how long he could cry, thereby making the episode worse, which made him cry even more into a self-perpetuating problem.

This was 'okay' to be honest. It wasn't as annoying as something like All That Glitters, at least. Though, I can see why you hate it.

Though, I'm curious. If the writers were trying to prove that Spongebob doesn't always cry, then why on Earth would they make an episode depicting him as a big crybaby? It makes no sense!
