Well yeah, that could work, at least as a rough idea. Though in order to be a member of the Amethyst Guild, one must have performed a great and heroic feat in their mortal life. So they would be something like a legendary or historical figure (King Arthur, Alexander the Great, George Washington, Hercules, etc)
