Kakeru Takahashi(高橋駆 Takahashi Kakeru) is a younger member of the Fake Digidestined. He is half Caucasian and half Asian. He also has achromia, a type of physical disorder which causes his skin and his hair to be white. Because of his ethnicity and his abnormal physical traits, his fellow classmates often bullied him. But ever since Kakeru adopted a dark and mysterious personality due to the amount of horror movies and cartoons he had watched, everyone began to stay away from him out of fear that he might be possessed by a demon. Sadly, he mistook his classmates' behavior for respect. Thus, Kakeru became fond of acting scary whenever there was someone around him. Until one day, he was approached by Daichi, the enigmatic school idol, and he was persuaded to join his Digimon club. Kakeru was legitimately surprised that Daichi remained unaffected by his dark "aura", albeit he could not do anything else but remaining silent and creepy. But eventually, he became annoyed of Daichi's obnoxious behavior and decided to reject his proposal by leaving him alone. Not to mention that joining a club dedicated for a kids' TV show could possibly ruin his reputation. However, a couple of days later, there was a rumor spreading among his classmates. The rumor is actually about himself and his reputation as the creepy kid in school. Everyone around him began to suspect that Kakeru was actually just pretending to be dark and scary. Kakeru instantly became clueless and feared that everyone would find out about his farce. It was then that he was approached by Daichi's girlfriend, Chichi Tachiyama. Chichi offered him a chance to join the Digimon club one more time as a way to restore his image in public. As Kakeru began to wonder how doing that would not just cause his image to be even worse, he suddenly saw a plant-like creature standing besides the girl. Although at first Kakeru could not believe his eyes, but he immediately understood. If he could own a similar creature by joining the group, he could make his classmates fear him again. Since he had no choice, Kakeru accepted the invitation.
