Such donkeys they are for interpreting it like that. And they're stubborn as(second "s"?) as a mule about it, too.
Fun fact, did you know the hat tails of jester caps are meant to symbolize donkey ears? Generally it was a pretty good position, only really big downside was that church hated you because "Donkeys have no soul".

Donkey and jester things aside, this also reminds me of a short comic i once read where somebody had to go to the toilet, there was a fly and a sign above the urinal saying "Aim for the fly".
Out of the two I like your one quite a bit more
