It's fun! ..and easier, I think. Good control is hard
..see 'The cockerel and the fox' by Helen Ward for wonderous control of watercolour without getting bogged down in a staid, over-detailed rendering. She's amazing.

Yes! "King of the birds"
Very similar in style to The Cockerel and The Fox. They're not expensive, if you happen to see one in a bookshop, it's worth owning for how inspiring and beautiful they are.

Just sticking in my two cents here... I just found "The Rooster and the Fox" children's book illustrated by Helen Ward on my local library's website. I put it on hold... a great way to see her other paintings. Maybe your library carries it. :^)
