What you are referring to is the Chichak helmet i guess? The Polish hussars used the Szyszak helmet, which are more or less the same as the european zischagge aka Lobster-tailed pot helmet(You know Cromwell's Ironsides cavalry). And Both the Szyszak and the Zischagge are derived from the Ottoman Chichak

At a glance (due to the formation of the troops, color and look of their outfits, etc), this makes me think of the Uruk-hai army at Helm's Deep in Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers XD
