This is almost the same setting like in the pic she did! I got inspired by her part of the trade xD
And I must really apologize for the 4 months!!! of waiting! X(
I'm really sorry! People shouldn't be so eager about trading with me since they have to wait till I finish my part for ages... *disappointed about herself*..

No it's a fan-character. The stripe on the head does make her look a bit like Zira though I gotta agree x3

And sure you can ask! I'm happy to help ^^ I use Photoshop CS2 and my brush setting for lineart is usually 3 pt hard round brush. And I use the Pen tool to get my lineart straight like this. But I learned that from a tutorial as well! There are some really useful ones here on DA, too, I'm sure! Hope I have helped you a bit ^^

Sorry about the bad explanation. By hard round brush I mean the standard brush. That first brush from the palette. It's best for drawing linarts. And 3pt means the size. The line will be 3 points (pixels) thick. But what thickness is best for your lineart depends on what size the entire picture has. For example 1000 x 1000 pixels. You might have to adjust the brush size and see what fits best with the dimensions you chose for your pic (so the lines won't get to thin or too thick). I hope this explanation is better understandable now x3 Just ask if you have anymore questions!

Shading is hard to explain. At least when I do gradient shading. In this pic I used Disney like cell shading. Before I start long rants on how to shade you can just browse DA (use the search) for cell shading tutorials. Sorry for not giving any advise but for this whole procedure you need the aid of a tutorial for good results...
