Alright, it's time to give my opinion about RWBY. After seeing the journal of my friend writing his controversy journal on the show, I thought it is time to do my own controversy meme on it. Remember guys, this is just my own opinion and if you disagree, that is all fine.

Favorite Character : Weiss Schnee :

This girl has really grown on me throughout the show. At first, I disliked her. She was just your typical rich brat who thought she deserved everything on a silver platter on top of being a Faunus racist. She was cold and disrespectful to people especially Ruby and Blake. However, she has come to realize and learn from her mistakes and therefore became a better person. She now respects Ruby as a leader and as a teammate and Blake as a normal person. Also, she is the most sympathetic character as she lives in a bad family with a self-centered father, an alchoolic mother and an egotistical and manipulative brother. Her big sister Winter is the only family member who remotely cares about Weiss but she's not even around her due to her job. Weiss is easily the most well-written character of the show and my personal favorite.

Honorable mentions : Torchwick, Qrow, Winter, Ren and Nora

Despised Character : Cinder Fall :

God do I despise this witch, and my hatred for her has grown even stronger ! I liked her at first and was pretty intrigued. Heck, I even felt kinda bad for her in Volume 4 after she got maimed by Ruby's Silver Eyes (despite what she did before). But Volume 5 was just the last godamn straw ! I thought she was going to have development but NO ! She just went back to her usual smug, prideful self and became stupider. She built up all that revenge against Ruby but she doesn't even attack her during the final fight. Not only is she a bad-written character but also we have no clue why she's such a complete monster in the first place ! God I hate her with a burning passion !

Dishonorable mentions : Adam, Blake, Yang, Hazel

Favorite Team : Team JNPR :

I can't help but admire this team. They are full of personality. You have Jaune, the dorky leader, Pyrrha, the badass sweetheart, Nora, the hammer-wielding crazy girl and Ren, the silent ninja boy. They have sweet relationships with each other, especially Jaune with Pyrrha and Ren with Nora.

Despised Team : Team CRDL :

I really don't want to talk about those fuckers. Moving on.

Overrated Character : Blake and Yang :

I used to love these two but now I find them really unlikeable. In Volume 6, Yang said that she wanted to keep Ruby safe but she didn't even look after her once. This is especially shown in the Brunswick arc where she grabs Blake's hand instead of Ruby's or even his drunken uncle's. Yeah, you're really are a great sister, Yang. Also, what's the point of her freaking PTSD arc if they barely going to utlize it !?
As for Blake, she was built up as an character with an interesting backstory but her character is so confusing and poorly written that it's hard for me to like her now or even feel bad for her. I didn't have much of a problem with in the first three volumes but after Volume 3, she left her friends without a word or even a letter. She was unnecessarily mean to Sun who just wanted to check if she was fine and she constantly doubted of herself. At first, I had no problem with it, but after a while, it gets pretyy old. Still in vol.4, it seems that she didn't learn from what Weiss told her, you know, that it's useless to run away from your worries and it is best to adress them to your friends. What annoys me the most is that she seems to has a favoritism for Yang over her two teammates (thanks Volume 6), hence why I don't like Bumblebee as a whole.

Underrated Character : Sierra Khan :

I find the High Leader of the White Fang very underrated because she is the reason why the White Fang went from a pacifist group wanting equally between Faunus and humans to an extremist and terrorist group. We could have had some much more of Sienna's character like her relationship with humans, the reason why she choose to use violence against her. Heck, even having her meet Blake and the rest of the group to put her into question about her friends and humans in general. But Adam killed her and we won't have more of her, which is a missed opportunity. I still like her and think she has the best design of all Faunus and one of the best character designs in the show.

Favorite Villain : Roman Torchwick :

I really miss this guy. He was such a fun and enjoyable villain. He was the perfect mixture between a gentleman and a charismatic yet ruthlees criminal. His reveal was both his best and worst moment. Let me explain. It was the best moment of Torchwick because we got to understand his motives and his reasons to act the way he did, he want to protect Neo and survive at all cost, even if he has to commit atrocities. It was also the worst because of his anticlimatic death. Also, I think this guy should get more recognition despite that.

Despised Villain : Adam Taurus :

I've already talked about Adam in my character comparison. I have talked about how terrible of an ex he was but I'haven't gone in depth on how terrible he was as a member of a White Fang he was as well. He was a self-righteous, pompous hypocrite. He claimed that he wanted superiority of his race over humanity yet that didn't prevent to kill the High Leader, to threaten to kill everyone, including his fellow Faunus, in a failed suicide explosion and to stab the members of the White Fang for petty reasons. I will admit though, he was pretty menacing and badass in the Black trailer and in Vol. 3 but he was terribly written that it hurts. Thank God he got what he deversed in Vol. 6;

Favorite Song : This Will Be The Day :

My personal favorite intro song. It still aged incredibly well after more than 5 years. Great instrumental, great lyrics and Casey Lee Williams has a incredible voice. Bless Jeff and Casey Lee Williams !

Despised Song : Lionized

It's a good song. The problem is that it's all about Adam bragging his superiority to humanity and being all edgy. No thanks.

Favorite Volume (btw it was originally supposed to be favorite chapter and despised chapter but I couldn't decide which ones were my favorite and which ones were my least favorite. So I replaced them with favorite volume and despised volume to make things easier for me) : Vol. 2 :

I decided to replace Vol. 3 by Vol. 2 because now I think that this volume has better fight and action scenes, better interactions between the characters and perhaps better chapters. While Vol. 3 has introduced two great characters, Uncle Qrow and Winter, I think Vol. 2 took more to flesh out its characters.

Despised Volume : Vol. 5 :

I am very mixed concerning this volume. It has the lowest pace of the show, barely anything happened, questionnable writing decisions, Ruby felt like she was more of a bystander than the main protagonist and Blake's arc. That's not to say it has its great moments like Yang and Weiss' interactions, Jaune finally using his Semblance and the epic fight between Raven and Cinder.
