Overall

Vision

Originality

Technique

Impact

Forgive me if it sounds a bit repetitive or nonsensical; I haven't critiqued photos for a long time.

I just wanna clear up that this is a very lovely photograph and it's worth many views. It's got great depth, emotion, and contrast. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sā€¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

Vision: I'm an avid fan of b&w photos. I'm almost crazy about them, haha. I love the balance in the image and how the road seems to converge right into the person (which, I'm guessing, helps direct the viewers attention to the subject). The only part of the picture that bothers me (very very slightly) is how the the person has this 'dark glow' around him.

Originality: Great composition and very nice setting. I can see where the title comes from... It's simple but highly detailed at the same time, which I think makes it spectacular... You know what I mean? Anyway, I love the sky with a passion; all the hues and highlights really stand-out. Plus the location of the highlights gives the person a certain 'light' of sorts.

Technique: I have no real thoughts on this part here...

Impact: In sum: great execution of everything. I think it really shows the whole mood of this person's personality or mood or emotions (since it's under 'miscellaneous').

To close up... Nice job! Photography is always a great way to convey/express feelings and emotions and thoughts, and this definitely follows through.

What a wonderful concept. I can almost feel the despair and loneliness of the young man. It's like he has almost given up on life, but not quite. He seems to be looking within to find that last bit of courage to say, "I'm not giving up!" I really love this photo. I may have a totally wrong aspect on it, but to me, it feels right. Fantastic job.
