Red stag "shot" at Merkland, Sutherland.Took this one through the car window so the quality is not 100%. He was only about 15 feet away so if I'd opened the window he'd have legged it!

Thank you, and yes. We see a lot of them up here, but not usually that close. I was on my way back from another photo day out and there he was right on the side of the road, grazing away quite happily. Just a case if right place, right time.

Yea.. when photographing animals and birds is often the case of being at the right time at the right place. Although... some research into their behaviour and freqauently vistited places is of great help. We dont have such wildlife here but heck.. me would love to stalk one of them stags lol. xxx
