I've always loved going to the zoo. This time I took my sketchbook with me and made my first attempts at drawing animals live on the spot. It was a lot of fun and I'm quite surprised how good most of them turned out. I'm sure it won't be the last time.Here's number three: the Bantang (some kind of wild cattle from South-East Asia).

Ich bin schon immer gerne in den Zoo gegangen. Diesmal habe ich meinen Zeichenblock mitgenommen und mich das erste mal am lebenden (vierbeinigen) Objekt versucht. Es hat riesigen Spaß gemacht und ich bin ganz überrascht, wie gut die meisten Bilder geworden sind. Das war bestimmt nicht da letzte Mal.
Tier Nummer 3: der Banteng, ein Wildrind aus Südost-Asien.

I took a live drawing class this year and I think it helped with capturing the main aspects of the form before going into detail.
But the most important thing is to keep on drawing. You'll get better and better until you notice it yourself. Believe me, I've been there.
