This is a good image of Buffy, it is very recognizable, i think you gave the image real attitude.

This is very good in that it definitely resembles Sarah Michelle Gellar. I'm not going to critique this particular piece, but since you asked for tips, I'm going to tell you what helped me the most. I have two books one called "How to Draw Lifelike Portraits from Photographs" and a Facial expressions book. Also, alot of very talented artists on DA and on the web have tutorials. Some on Skin tones, hair, background, eyes... etc. Also, I would study artists pieces that your particularly like. Lastly, and I know this is a cliche, practice, practice, practice. The more you draw the better you'll become. I hope I've helped you in some way. If you have any more questions, then please feel free note me or leave a comment.

The right side of her face is slightly off, but it does look like Buffy. Not bad all in all.
