Description

Peter had always been a bit of a rebel back home in Holland. He was an ardent left-winger and believed in speaking his mind, even if it meant offending others. When he got accepted to an American university for a year-long exchange program, he was excited to experience a new culture and to engage in political debates with his American peers.

However, Peter quickly found that his outspoken nature was not appreciated by his American counterparts. He often complained about the American way of life, calling it selfish, materialistic, superficial, and conservative. He would frequently make snide remarks about Donald Trump and those who voted for him, much to the annoyance of the Republican students on campus. But even the Democrat students could not stand his constant criticism of everything American.

Peter also had a habit of criticizing American cuisine, which he found unappetizing and unhealthy. He would often opt for European food options on campus or cook for himself in his dorm room.

But what annoyed the American students most of all was Peter's arrogance and know-it-all attitude. He would act as though he knew more about American politics and culture than the Americans themselves. They found it all the more ridiculous given that Peter was not exactly the brightest student on campus, nor was he particularly fit or good-looking. His sizeable backside was a source of ridicule among the jocks, who saw it as a prime target for a good paddling.

One day, Peter received an invitation to a political debate at one of the fraternity houses on campus. He eagerly accepted, thinking it would be a chance to engage in some lively debate with his American peers. But when he arrived, he quickly realized that it was all a trap.

He was quickly grabbed and secured over a table, with Chuck, a Republican jock, and Frank, a Democrat jock, ready to administer the paddling. Peter was surprised that even Frank, a fellow Democrat, was willing to participate in his punishment. But Frank explained that this was about the honor of the country, which united both sides.

Peter cried out in pain as the paddle hit his backside over and over again. He couldn't understand why his fellow students would do this to him. But to them, it was a way of teaching him a lesson about respecting American culture and politics. They saw it as a necessary corrective to Peter's constant disdain for everything American.

After the paddling, Peter was left humiliated and sore. None of the students took sympathy or pity for him, and he got endless sarcastic remarks for the rest of the year, as everybody had heard about the paddling. Peter became a laughing stock on campus, and he realized that he had made a huge mistake in underestimating the Americans and their culture.

°°°

Professor Smith: So, what do we do about this incident with Peter and the paddling?

Professor Johnson: Well, officially we have to condemn it. Violence is never the answer.

Professor Lee: But secretly, I must say, I am impressed by the students' firmness in defending their values. It's good to see such unity among them.

Professor Smith: I agree, and let's be honest, Peter can be quite a nuisance in our classes. Always criticizing and belittling everything American.

Professor Johnson: Yes, and it's not just his political views, but his lack of respect for other cultures and custom. I can't say I'm surprised that he got paddled.

Professor Lee: And let's not forget his sizable rear end. It's almost fitting that he was the one to receive a paddling, considering it's a fraternity tradition in the US.

Professor Smith: (laughing) Yes, I'm sure he won't be sitting down for a while.

Professor Johnson: (chuckling) It's funny, but we do have to make sure that this doesn't happen again. We need to make it clear that violence is not the way to solve disagreements.

Professor Lee: Agreed, but let's also acknowledge that the students were defending their honor and values. We should encourage healthy and respectful debates, but we can't allow disrespect and insults to go unchecked.

Professor Smith: (nodding) Absolutely, we should use this incident as a teaching moment for all students. We can emphasize the importance of civil discourse and respecting others' opinions.

Professor Johnson: (smiling) And maybe we can even incorporate a lesson on American traditions, like paddling.

Professor Lee: (laughing) Yes, perhaps Peter can give a presentation on the cultural significance of a sore behind.

The professors laugh and continue their discussion, secretly enjoying the fact that the students took matters into their own hands and stood up for their beliefs, even if it was through an unconventional means.
