Update: December 14th, 2012 in the very early morning...I just can't leave it like this, this one felt a little special to me so I just cannot leave this half-arse piece of work alone, so I decided to do some small touch-ups. Her belly button is now moved somewhere more appropriate and I added highlights... as promised. Now I think this looks a little better. Thank you for the feedback and I hope never to forget this. X3
I could work on this some more, but I rather just leave it as it is, and look it back thinking... "I can do better."
I just recently got my hands on Illustudio... and she works magnificently! Well I have yet to touch most of the features but I did however tried a few... and its like "OMG, this is perfect!" <3
Okay so I got this idea from a wallpaper I just recently changed to, and its awesome... sort of. X)
I still have something else to do, but for now I just drew this just for fun. Haruhi Suzumiya for the win! ^^

First of all, I really like the color pallette in this, it's very bright and summer-y and goes well with the theme of the picture. The background is nice, and simple enough to not distract from the character. Also the lineart is very nice, clean and crisp. The coloring is very good too. One thing (and this might just be me) but I would be expecting a bit more highlight in the hair, given the brightness of the sun shining on it.
One bit of critique on the anatomy, it seems like she has an exceptionally long torso, like I would be expecting the belly button to be a bit higher up, closer to where her arm falls across her body. Otherwise though, I think you did very well, I especially like the hair and the face, I think you did a great job on that.

Oh yay! I thank you so much for your honest critique, man actually after reading what you just wrote, I forgotten some things. I can totally agree with the anatomy, after looking back, she kinda looked a little long. X)
And you know what? I totally forgot to include highlights, that I forgot to do. XD
That's alright, as long somebody reminds me like you do, it helps me to keep myself back on track. Nevertheless, I am honored to have your opinion and suggestions on my latest piece. I thank you so much FrankieAlton! ^^

Hey,
(Vision) Firstly, I'd like to say that the composition of this piece is rather good, having the main character off-center. In addition, the sea is not horizontal, thus making this piece more interesting.
(Originality) I guess that you're not going for a super original drawing, although I do see some originality in this piece, in the clothes.
(Technique) As for technique, I think that you can have slightly harsher shading for the character. I do like the way you color the clouds and the way you draw hands, which is a weak point for a number of people. For style, you draw face and hair really well but I think that the waist of the character shouldn't be that long, in proportion to the character.
(Impact) Overall, your piece is somewhat impactful, although slightly too blue.
