Description More practise. I chose different races and different poses. I started with the one on the upper left side, as you might see, it's the worst. I'm glad I got better afterwards. It was fun, I might do similar sketches of other animals soon.

Which cat sketch do you like most?

It's really a matter of practice! Just try it, you'll get better everytime!

And, just to tell you, everytime I start with one of these sketches, at the beginning it looks like shit. It's really terrible, but you need to force yourself to go on, and after adding shadows and a few highlights it always looks (at least) decent.
Go ahead and try for yourself, and if you like to you can show me and I'll give you some feedback. You'll see, if you do a cat sketch every week, you'll be a cat pro in no time And always use references!

I love all of them! The cream toned paper gives a really nice contrast

The paper is just awesome! It's so much better to sketch on toned paper, I really recommend it

Lovely sketches. If I had to pick a favourite it would be the top right 'cause I can almost hear the hissing when I look at it. Agree about the bottom left being perfect.

These two are also my favourites, and especially the grumpy one was sooo much fun to draw

My favourite is the further one on the left at the bottom
They always look grumpy and you nailed it
Well done
Its good to sketch even if some are bad compared to others
It helps loosen up your hands and gives you better hand to paper co-Ordination
Keep practising
It's something I have to do too!

Thanks, I just HAD to sketch one of those, they're so ugly, but they have so much personality

I use to consider them ugly but a lot of the "ugly" animals are actually the most interesting to both look at and draw and I've come to admire that as a beauty rather than as an ugliness haha.

So I like their smooshfaces XD

Yeah, you're right. It's like with other "ugly" animals like mole rats and others. They're not just "ugly". Of course they're really different from what we are used to, but I see them more like really creepy cool and not just ugly

Hello Christina,Β

I like the bottom two the most because they are particularly expressive:Β
the one of the left looks annoyed and is raising one of its eyebrows,Β
and the one on the right looks like she is surprised and slightly offended.

I hope you keep practicing~Β
You'll be surprised by how quickly you'll improveΒ Β
