Everyone meet Morgan Cadwyn, the freaky spider lady. She's my new OC. Her spider spinner makes chains instead of silk somehow. She lives in a dungeon cave in the woods eating cars and bondaging up everybody all day. Yeah, she's pretty cool. ΒHere's a textless version:Β

I keep thinking about drawing this character again, but I kind of painted myself into a corner with how complicated she is. Just about every time I sit down to draw I almost draw her, but she has so many weird stupid details... One of these days though, I'll draw her some more.

That's not a "butt". It's an abdomen. It's where most of a Spider's internal organs are.

Well... I mean, yeah, that's definitely true. That's kind of the joke. My excuse is that she's not a spider, she's "some kinda weird spider lady", and on weird spider ladies the terminology is different.Β Β

I know it's joke. I'm not trying to be obnoxious. It's actually a really cool idea for an OC. Especially the fact that she creates chains instead of webs. If you really like spider theme characters and bondage,you will really like Rachnera from monster musume (dailylifewithamonstergirl.wiki⦠)

I love how you point out things that don't make sense about her. Great self awareness. =3 I didn't realize until looking at this final picture that those spots under her eyes aren't a nose. Those are more eyes. That is kind of terrifying and I kinda wanna play that up in the story I'll eventually write about her =3

LukePwner and I had a back-and-forth about the right balance of creepy to not *completely* nightmarish for her eyes, so I changed the design a few times. The first few had all eight eyes being the same size which... May have been a bit much. I eventually settled on this design where the main eyes are roughly the right size and location (although not shape) to be human eyes and the bonus eyes soooort of look like freckles until you look close enough. She has an extra pair of human-shaped eyes above her large set too, although they're mostly hidden by hair.

I did notice those just barely peeking out of her hair. If I do the story the human will think those are freckles until they see them blink. And then they'll shriek in terror

She IS extra-Welsh, yes.Β Whether or not she has a strong accent is not canon at the moment, but she probably does...
Thanks! I didn't go through multiple drafts necessarily but I did tinker with the sketch a lot. Getting her body segments and legs and stuff the right size was tricky (and I arguably still didn't quite pull it off, but it's at least a lot better than it started). Drawing a body type this strange is both easier and harder than drawing a normal person. On one hand her proportions don't need to be super strict since she's not based on anything real, but the added depth means I have to think about perspective stuff I wouldn't usually need to for a figure drawing.Β
Not sure how often I'll draw her since she has like double the sheer number of lines that a normal figure does which means she kind of takes a while to draw and I'm not sure how closely I could match her to this if I drew her again, but I do have a lot more ideas for her so hopefully I'll figure it out. Doesn't help that I kind of painted myself into a corner of needing to draw a bunch of chains too every time I draw her, but oh well...
