Description

So if you saw the drawing I uploaded the other day, this is the big project I was referring to from 2021. I mainly did this to stack my art up to what I had done in 2020, and I still have distinct memories of being really proud of some of the characters as I finished them and posted them online. But, eh. Looking back on this, I'm honestly surprised I didn't give myself burnout from drawing like 2 characters and their Pokemon every day. I definitely made a few decisions that I could've corrected at the time, but I wanted to go for speed. And, even if all the characters and Pokemon here look pretty alright, the end result ended up pretty damn cluttered. I apologize for how much is going on in this picture, but I did promise to upload all of my art, so that's what I'm doing. Glad I didn't go with my original plan of having Sinnoh's legendary Pokemon in the background as well. Dawn also had six Pokemon that I drew, but couldn't fit anywhere in this ensemble (thank Arceus).

But as for the project itself, this is every. Single. Character. From the Diamond and Pearl anime. Or at least, all of the recurring characters, and all of their signature Pokemon. Ambitious? You could say that. Dumb? Absolutely. There are only five to eight characters in this picture that anyone probably recognizes, and that's mostly thanks to the games. I probably should've kept the project to those few characters, rather than everyone. But eh, at least I got to practice a bunch of Pokemon with this project.
