Description Species: Anguisadon Jormungandii, commonly known as "Jormungand"

Lenght: 853 feet ( 260 meters)

Height: 393 feet ( 120 meters)

Weight: 4,704.05 metric tons

Methabolism: cold blooded reptile which developed some crustaceous and amphibian traits due to an extreme process of convergent evolution.

Diet: carnivore.

Like span: unknown.

Environment: Ocean depths.

Distribution: presumably the Baltic Sea.

I started designing this creature thinking on an european analogue of Godzilla (or the american Cloverfield). A fearsome, unstoppable titanic monster than suddenly emerges from the sea and cause havoc in the civilization.

It can use its flexible and super sensitive multi tongue to reach every corner where humans could hide. Its feeding methods are similar to that of antbears. The eyes are almost blind but it has an excellent sense of smell and can use ultra sounds for the orientation and localization of prey. The "wings " on its back are actually flippers which help him to move faster underwater, though are useless in solid ground.

A truly awesome kaiju design! As a kaiju artist myself, I gotta say your design for Jourmangand is simply fantastic!

Thanks man. (I prefer another version I did with a reptilian body, though)

Welcome. A distant relative/ancestor of Jourmangand's, perhaps?

Just a different version of the same, or maybe some close relative who lives in the Mediterranean sea (this one would be called Kharybdis, like the monster of the Greek mythology)

Perhaps, and I'm quite familiar with Charybdis. Jour's K-selected offspring, perhaps?

Perhaps.

That would be a bit unoriginal but IΒ΄m too fond of this design. I sketched another one but isnΒ΄t too great, looks too much like a big crab with horns.

Perhaps indeed.

It's not like Jour' would be a loving parent, they'd probably compete over prey. That sounds more like something that might follow Jourmangand around, scavenging off of the carnage that the larger kaiju leaves in his(?) wake.

Nah, it would be too busy destroying another european city to scavenge anything...

It's just scavenging off its own destruction, then

Not bad at all! I love that kind of creation; especially the description. Very nice work!
