I technically first thought of this one as a potential one for rot, but I'd really wanted to do that day as a zombie because it's October, and... well... you know... Halloween-ish. Anyways, the concept behind this one is that it's a compost heap, which, if you didn't know, can get really hot in the sun, as they tend to be dark unless you've added new stuff on top. When they get hot, they can catch steam, smoke, or even go up in flames, especially if they're not just plant matter (manure especially makes this likely).
