Description
A recolor based on the box art of Hasbro's Cupcake figure. Now that I've gotten the toy, I've been able to update the colors and cutie mark since the original picture used blurry photos as a resource. Not sure if I want to flip her cutie mark or not since she's facing a different direction than her box art.

Shouldn't she have scars on her back from . . . when she . . . tore her own wings off?

The magical healing techniques of the medical unicorns can work wonders on the body, if they can catch the wound quickly enough before it's allowed to scar over.

I know the fanfiction was a one-shot, and perhaps it's BETTER than it is, but it left me curious what made this poor pony the way she is.

A few years ago I was walking in the park and found a picture of a woman with a short poem on the back of it. There were no names or even a date, but the poem held a great sense of urgency, longing, and loss. I did not recognize the woman and have never found out who she is. However, I still keep the photo pressed in an old book on my shelves.
I occasionally, maybe once or twice a year, like to imagine the circumstances around that photo. Fact of the matter is, though, if I were to ever find out the truth of the matter, it would most likely be disappointingly uninteresting compared to what I have invented in my mind.

"CUPCAKE is good at just about everything she does. It just takes a little practice, some hard work, and maybe a bit of luck!" ... or at least that was what the package says.

yay.

Actually, Wikipedia has the wrong package description. Her is, "CUPCAKE is as sweet as anypony could be! She loves to bake yummy treats and share them with her friends!"

*IS reading directly from back of box!

If she's good at everything why is her cutie mark a cupcake specifically? Then again, it'd be odd for her name to be Cupcake and to have a hammer or something as a cutie mark.

The description I used was from the Hasbro website (although that description was a bit old - from the beginning of 2011). If they screwed it up on there, then ... well, I honestly wouldn't be surprised, they seem to do that a lot. [link]

They must have changed it.

Yep, cause I've gotten a few Cupcakes since then, and they've all had the same description. (Lol, gotten a few cupcakes...)

You got a few of them ...? Uh ... like more than just 2 or 3? Wha-what are you doing with all those cupcakes ...?

You wouldn't perhaps be thinking of ...

oh dear.

No, I mean the pony named Cupcake. :3

And yeah, I have maybe five.

And I'm ALWAYS thinking of

Yeah, that makes a lot more sense than what I had read. I've seen the figure but wasn't able to buy her and forgot to check the back of the box.

It's fine. I had just noticed the thing on wiki was wrong, so I assumed that's where you got it from.

Worst part is, though, if you've read the story "Cupcakes," the fact that she's described as "sweet" is pure nightmare fuel. O_o

Actually, I think the hammer cutie mark is reserved for the ponies who somehow make a living by either breaking things or not being able to swim.

If you do one on a Rainbow Dash pony I'll think this was related to the Cupcakes fanfic.
