Gordon stopped at a station with the midnight express. He was tired, and not just from how long he'd had to stay awake.

"Silly Percy and his stories..." he grumbled. "Keeping us all awake, then droning to the trucks, and delaying our trains!"

But as Gordon waited for his passengers to board his coaches, he couldn't help feeling as though he was being watched...

"Evenin'" grumbled the station pilot.

Gordon glared, but said nothing. He refused to admit the diesel had startled him.

"Mind yaself." Harrison continued. "Strange things can happen this late at night, 'specially on Halloween."

"Oh, don't you start!" Huffed Gordon, having heard quite enough of ghosts already.

Just then, a small green tank engine rattled through the station. It shot Gordon a look as it passed.

"What're you looking at...?" The big engine grunted.

The tank engine said nothing; it just carried on through the station.

"I'm not lookin' anywhere near ya." Rumbled the diesel from across the yard.

"Not you, this..." Gordon stopped. The engine appeared to have disappeared without a trace.

"...Don't say I didn't warn yeh." The orange diesel grunted, and carried on with his shunting.
