I can see Flame being more laid-back and chill and Ember being the one who's willing to get herself involved in anything.
I do think they should be kept the same age though as they were in A Hero's Tail, like I'm pretty sure Flame and Ember are both younger than Spyro.
I also love that you kept the detail of Flame having a wider snout than Spyro, plus his tail end being a callback to his name.
