HAH! ONE DAY. I made myself finish this in ONE DAY. I'm so proud of myself for not giving up on it halfway through, rofl.I dont like how the top of the mask came out ]:
Anyway, Batgirl~ I adore this costume so much *__* Also, so as not to confuse those who dont know her, that is a full face cowl. The bottom half of her face is in a *mask* as well, not showing through like the original Batgirl or batman, etc. So literally, not one single piece of skin is showing. LOL

Batgirl and Batman and my soul belong to DC.

One day? Wow, I could never finish anything in one day, especially if it involved black. Dark colors are so hard to shade, and you did a beautiful job. One thing that I love about your art is that it always has so much motion to it, and this piece is no exception. Luvs. ^^

Yep, roughly about 10 hours, with breaks included. Shading black isnt really that difficult actually, you just have to work with it a little and find what style works best with what youre coloring (:

I like how everything is so dark except for a few bright yellow items. It makes them stand out and yet bring the picture together. I just noticed that there are stitches on the hems of her mask and that's really cool, too! Stitches kinda scare me sometimes. The string looks kinda thin, though, like it can't really support her @_@

hehe the stitches are one of the things (including the whole face cowl period) that I really like about her costume. I cant get enough of the black on yellow thing either, I love the color combination so much.
The rope isnt really supposed to be there for any actual use, I kind of just threw it in there to tie her into the background more. Though I think with the kinds of material they use, I'm pretty sure something that thin would support, I remember them talking about the durability once. They cant exactly carry around big bulky things while crime fighting and etcetera haha

You did an amazing job with these dark colours. Those details of the anatomy described by the awesome colours are so well done.

hee Thank you so much!~ *HUG* I'm glad you think it turned out well. I tried something a bit different with how I colored, as in leaving visible brush strokes. Normally my coloring is so tight-knit and wound up, so I decided to loosen up with this one and I think the result came out better than if I were to sit and nitpick about cleaning everything up
