Description As the A-216 Aftermath (largest ship of Hexiron) is in full development, let's have a re-look at its predecessor as a tribute.

This literally took me about half a year to complete due to the colossal amount of details. This has been my largest single 3D project I have ever attempted. As this was made ni sketchup, feel to check out these WIPs that I've done earlier

This supercarrier is huge, measuring about 14 kilometres long. Everything about this ship is already in the description. Another ship for my upcoming Dusk novel has been COMPLETED! I'm glad this is finally done, so I can put more attention to art commissions again! The resolution of this image is pretty huge, so feel free to click on the image to zoom in to look at all the little windows for scale!

In case you're wondering what flies out from the fighter hangar bays:

Time taken: About 6 months (lost count on the number of hours)
Programs used: Sketchup Pro, Indigo Renderer and Photoshop

I hope you like this!
As I've put in so much love into making this, honest critiques and comments really mean a lot to me! Thanks for dropping by to have a look at some of my 3D works! If you would like to support me in the creation of this novel, do visit my Patreon at www.patreon.com/Duskie/overvie…

There might be updates to improve this high poly model further, so stay tuned!

This ship is the epitome of one of the things that drew me to you. Your detailing and descriptions all lend to a vibrant and fleshed out feel for your creations. This is what people love is sci-fi: a good ship. The fact that it has a cool looking, but functional sail is great, as well as those smaller cutaway pictures. The amount of thought you put into them really shows of your talent. The coloring is nice too - lends to that dark and gritty feel of it. I hope that your upcoming novel does well and that you continue in your work.

I really love you artwork and this ship i would have made it about 10-14,000 meters bigger and with more weapons emplacements starfighters star bombers and small craft made it bigger than the Aftermath. Sword like shape looks better than pizza ar Wars shaped Star Destroyer from Star Wars glad that this looks as excellent as it does. Still needs some work tough nothing major or right this second. Looks like a Star Wars dreadnought on nasty drugs mate. I am not shocked that this looks wonderful and sleek like a F22. keep up the excellent work mate.10/10 for Vision and Impact for sure with Originality and Technique 10/10 for all four

This is THE BEST sci-fi art I've ever seen (when it comes to spaceships anyway). Every edge, corner, and light brings it to life in a way that takes an amount of skill that must have taken years to develop. I'm glad the ship itself is an original design, that just proves even more how much skill is required to pull off something like this. Even the diagrams and close-ups of the ship parts make it look as if I'm viewing a hologram blueprint in the year 20XV or some futuristic thing like that. I can not even imagine how long this must have taken, a year at least. This must have taken so much blood sweat and tears to make that you must have become a hunk of beef jerky from a lack of body fluids. I love it, Keep making stuff like this.

This looks so awesomely amazing! I love futuristic stuff! about your novel... Is it gonna MLP based or something else?

Duskie-06 In reply to angrybirds125 [2019-08-23 16:09:18 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! It's going to be an original work like star wars and Harry Potter! So, by combining it with MLP would be like fallout Equestria, really cool!

Thanks for asking!

Here a chalenge for ages, it’s to create the interior design level & pathways like:  “corridors, crew quarters, bridge, hangar bays, engin room.....”

and if we’re lucky a gaming studio could create a 3D walking simulation for us all to enjoy the minutia of your fantastic work

Does the carrier have a form of light-speed like Hyperspace, Slipspace, etc and if so which type does it use?

Also what are the engines named since it just say thrusters?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Duskie-06 In reply to flameking0142 [2018-07-06 16:19:45 +0000 UTC]

Hi flameking! So sorry for the late reply! Yes, it does! As my novel is still in development, this is something that is really interesting to think about. Slipspace would be the most probable, as it can travel from one point of space to another instantly.

The engines are also known as afterburners. Thanks for asking!

It’s completely fine, you can’t reply to every comment you see ^^

Thank you for clearing up the engine name and what type of light speed it uses. Really love your work and it’s incredible

This thing looks like it would the entire net worth of Wakanda to acquire and  maintain. That being said, how much does one of these things cost?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Duskie-06 In reply to LordArcheronVolistad [2018-06-14 17:32:00 +0000 UTC]

You bet! That's a very good question! Well, it should be around 10 trillion USD to build the parts in a space depot.

Bill Gates can only buy about 0.5% of everything with all his money.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LordArcheronVolistad In reply to Duskie-06 [2018-06-14 17:44:03 +0000 UTC]

Okay, so one will cost about 155520.9953-4 tons of gold or 100 metric tons of Vibranium or 50 metric tons of Unobtanium. Okay, not as monumental as I expected, it speaks to the engineering efficiency of this glorious ship!

I see, thanks! But yet, this is nothing compared to some of the largest mega structures in the Universe of Dusk, such as Trinity, which is a triple ringworld system inspired by halo.

how big is that dare i say

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

LordArcheronVolistad In reply to Duskie-06 [2018-06-14 22:49:59 +0000 UTC]

Ringworld system... how big would that be in diameter, width, thickness and height? Is it larger than the Larry Nivens Ringworld?
Also, it must be really fun to have the resources and materials sciences to be able to get past the issues of gravitational stress and spin-shenanigans, maybe it uses artificial gravity instead of spin-gravity because that would do some pretty crazy things to the physics on the ring itself. That's why I prefer things like orbital plates and dyson swarms.
Still looks absolutely glorious, though!

I just dug through my pile of book info and found this:

Acratia has been renamed to Trinity, this is the old infographic that I made long ago. Acratum is the name of the star at the center. This ring system has the ability to deploy new planets to orbit the star with just the press of a button.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LordArcheronVolistad In reply to Duskie-06 [2018-06-15 14:07:45 +0000 UTC]

That's pretty damn impressive! I would guess that the ability to deploy planets would be more cosmeric, or for research and conservation purposes, since with a planet only the surface is habitable, a paltry percentage of its total mass, when a ring section if equivalent mass would have many times more area to live and work with.
Also, who built the ring system?

BTW, what's that stellar dome for?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Duskie-06 In reply to GGalleonAlliance [2018-06-09 05:39:48 +0000 UTC]

Thank you GGalleonAlliance!
The stellar dome is a recreational area on the ship for crew members and staff to bond, relax and enjoy as warp times between star systems can take a very long time. Those are powerful telescopes to look at faraway planets and stars.
