After many season it'd finally happened, raids on Kol had began. Time felt a blur in retrospect. Cynare had join Stonehaven seasons ago; both out of cowardness and a hope to be reunited with his estranged family. This had been what his parents had wanted after all, the Kol brought to heel. But they weren't here, or anywhere for that matter. He had thought, with time, surely they would show up. It was only now did he realize he had spent far to long just waiting, comforted by the assumption that with the war they would appear. Like the war, they were just in the future. The war was finally here, and with a heavy heart, he realized they were never going to be.
