Description 8x10 oil on canvas...this one is for diosaperdida's dad.
marching into the sunset, the lone elephant sighs.
with love in her heart and tears in her eyes.
this time to go and say goodbye. its never the end, in elephant skies...god bless.

i love this image and have some similar myself, but female elephants never go off alone, it's only males, so maybe you should edit your text in the box, although it for a friend so maybe the "she" applies. Anyway, its beautiful, the contrast between the sunset and the silhouette is really effective.

Now this I like! It's got Rimbaud written all over it.

I love "elephant skies" also.

And the fact that you did it drunk makes it perfect.

thank you.

Excellent.
The longer I look at it, the more it seems that a hole was cut out were the elephant is, and black paper placed behind it.

Nice picture but something about the front leg doesn't look right to me. This is unlike your other paintings in that it doesn't have a lot of detail but i like how the colors in the sky contrast with the silhouettes.

this is a different style coming from you dude, but I like it a lot too. it's more minimal than your other works, is ther something that happened, a change of interest in your style or was it just sporadic?

it reminds me of this beautiful show that the discovery channel did, an elephant and her pack were traveling, they came apon the place where a year ago the daughter of the lead female had died before, she sniffed the bones and moped, took time from the precious journey for food to cry for a while.
