Dark Fairy Tales: Session 1

Pinocchio

A marionette dreams of becoming a real girl and makes a deal with a woman. This woman is not who she seems, but is an evil queen with many powers – even so she grants the marionette’s wish. The marionette is so pleased with this she does not realize she has made a huge mistake. When she made her wish she did not specify that she wanted a body of flesh and blood, a voice, and a free will. Thusly the queen gave her exactly what she wanted – the marionette still has her strings, her ball jointed body, and cannot move or speak without someone else controlling her. She is a soul trapped forever in a carved body.

So for this being a total MacGyver shoot I think it turned out pretty damn well. I made Dave's dress in about 3 days and mine in about 4 hours the morning before the shoot. The room we wanted to shoot in (which was a proper studio) we couldnt book so we had to use a hideous room with track lighting. But Charlotte being the amazing person she is managed to figure it out and get these shots without ANY photoshopping. NONE. (Well she cooled the image down but no editing whatsoever.)

Me = Pleased.
