Cot damn, am done! first piece of work with the wacom pen n' tablet. i'm pleased with this work, else i wouldn't put it up. but my art will always be a work in progress, aight.

i freestyled on the background, just painted it and did several light/hue adjustments to get the ambience i was feeling, which is ominous, cause this dude here is living destruction. he feeds off competition, so he will bun ya ass to cinder.

but seriously, Akuma is a mystery character from streetfighter, the brother of ken and ryu's master (Gouten) he eventually killed his brother in combat (supposedly). Both Akuma (known as Gouki in japan) and Gouten were disciples under Goutetsu. Akuma is all about perfecting the art of shotokan karate (their choosen style) with no restraint (note: the moral concept of evil and good does not apply here . so, lets just say his 'journey' led him to the point where he is now tapping into the shady side of the force (chi / ki) lol.

personally, i can see where adjustments are needed in this piece of work, specifically with the lighting which affects the blending of certain elements in the piece, but its a matter of skill progression. well, am glad i'm finish with it 'cause i'm looking forward to working on some more...curvier lines.
