Ah, Aiko-chan!

Lycra is good too. Normally people look for latex MAT when using bodysuits e.g on Vicky, Terai Yuki etc.

But this render looks cute in its own right.

Thanks, i think it was kinda cute in its own little way.
and yeah instead of doing some similair latex look, this lycra/spandex type of clothing was actually something i just needed to give a try.

No Problem

As i said, i use photoshop but i suppose any paint program that handles transparency can be used, I start by creating a new canvas usually 2500x2500 or 3000x3000 pixels either transparent or with a black background, and then copy-past existing textures i got from the net, or create my own using alot of brushwork and filters or create a pattern from scratch based on zoomed in fabric textures found on the net making different comparisments with a bit of my own touch if need be, i use the standard rgb color settings and name them accordingly when saving into either jpg or png format, in a new folder to keep things neatly, mostly naming it simple like the patterns, for instance when i create a red brick like texture with white lines, it would become R_brick_main.jpg or something, and if i want a displacement/bump map with it, then i convert the red one to a grayscale black and white one, and save it R_brick_Trans.jpg..
When creating the poser scene, in the material room i add 2x 2d picture nodes and load up my newly textures in them and connect them properly or replace the existing textures and see how it renders, then go back to change some settings like colors and bump map depths and scaling the textures and render again until i get the desired results..
I really hope this helps, i haven't typed this much in a while..
Let me know if it did..
Sincerely,
Dennis

I'll try the technique in Bryce.

(I got it for free back in September)

May I have a peek at the material used?
I would like to use it, because
I have NEVER gotten it right!

I used this lycra texture from the renderosity site, and experimented with the advanced settings in the material room, mainly texture size adjustments and color variations.. hope that helps, also i sometimes make my own textures with Photoshop at a 3000x3000 pixels size in a black and white pattern, eventually after figuring things out.. the result in the lycra bodysuit on aiko was a standard weave option in the material room, only enlarged it alot to make it look finer..
here is the lycra product if you want to check it out..

When I tried to add it in a cart, it says unavailable. That is when before I tried to add it to the cart.

Sorry to hear that, I don't officially own it or sell it.. so I can't do much about it.
If it's really something you still wanted maybe the seller on the site can be contacted, maybe. :/

I don't have 5 dollars in internet money! D:

May I ask how you make your own textures, like that was described?
