I can't believe there are this many people out there who aren't familiar with CB. It's not my all-time favorite anime but it's usually pretty entertaining, especially the movie. I recommend renting that to get an idea of what it's all about. As for your pic, well it looks like the facial features are a little on the big and blocky side. Well detailed, but her eyes are so large and her pupils asymmetrical enough to make her look a little...wacked out. Really, that's the only thing off, tweak those eyes and this will look a hundred times better.

I think her lips and eyebrows are just a little on the blocky side, but other than that, it's great!

Cowboy Bebop was surprisingly better then I had expected it to be, though the ending had me go "Wait... that's it?" lol It's interesting seeing her in your style like this, though maybe I'm too conventional, but the smoke idea doesn't appeal to me so much. 
Otherwise, I do like this a lot

nice work bro, i actually like this version more than the movie lol, i hate that stupid show, i heard all the hype and what did i get? some cracked out kid with no bones making weird noises fixing computers, and an occassional gunfight lol
