I only read the first graphic novel and saw one episode of the anime of this series ( Peace maker) but so far... he's one of my favorite character's. ^^ you defiently got his attitude across in this pic. I think his hair is one of the best done part's in this pic.

The blue tone in his skin definately gives him a cold and distant feel. This makes me want to paint. Right now.

I always liked your art, but this one... I love how Hijitaka-san is both part of and apart from the background because of how the smoke from his pipe integrates everything together. *goes on in praise* You get the picture ^_~

Wow, that's a lovely adaption of the manga pic! (umm of it's not based on the manga pic, than apologies, but it looks like the same pose IIRC)
The colring is amazing. You've reall displayed your skills here, and I love how you worked in the background. II think maybe the blue on his neck might have been blended a little more, it seems to jump out a bit too much and look not so much like shading but like a blue stripe on his neck.
The fading out around his feet looks especially nice. It gives a very atmosphereic feel to the piece. Relaly nice job here!
