Description This is a map of the fantasy continent of Sumanur, which is the location of a series of stories I plan on writing.

This is essentially the same exact continent as the one I created for my roleplay, The Empire of Atlantis, on Gaiaonline. However, as that RP has died and my interest has turned more into writing stories, I decided to recreate the continent and remove the obvious heavy handed references to already established myth and lore.

As I said, this is a map for stories Im writing, not a roleplay, which is why it may seem to be crowded with cities and towns and other tidbits of info. Essentially this is a map for myself, so I can have a reference to where everything is and lessen the chances of making mistakes and having to do serious rewrites.

Plus, I just liking making maps.

Technical Info:
PS CS3
Took about 3 days
Ill add in the resources I used for textures once I remember where I got them @-@;;;;

This is absolutly amazing. By far the best fantasy map I have ever seen. I try to make my own but they end up trash compared to this. I would love it if you could share some of your techniques oh how to did the original shape and how you did the shading to represent hight levels. Well done

thank you!
I used some tutorials from [link]
Sadly I lost the pdf's so I cant remember exactly which ones were used, but thats where I got them.
Basically its a combination of different textures for the various landforms and using bevel/embossing+textures to give places like the mountains a sense of height.
