Description Koyuki is a character from my boyfriend's story, 'Oni no Yume'. She's a lot of fun to draw, especially since there aren't that many characters that have intricate tattoos. I drew this way back last December, meaning it to be a Christmas present once I'd colored it. I got distracted making other things and have only now gotten around to coloring it. I worked on this thing from sometime around 2 in the afternoon until almost 6 the next morning. I love the effect of digital coloring but DAMN. Now to run it to Kinko's and have it blown up as a poster.

Gwah my eyes hurt. And my hands.

How did you get the kimono pattern to work so perfectly nyo!!
I'm doing a drawing of girl wearing a kimono and I was thinking of making the pattern over to fit my needs, but it seems you pulled it off by just pasting the pattern that u already had. did ya scan it? or did u find it online? it soo beeeeyoooutiful...

Yeah, I scanned it- it's some origami paper that I had. I'm experimenting with making some of my own designs, but I haven't scanned them yet. I just selected bits of it and moved them around until I had them the way I wanted.

This is fantastic! I love all the details, and that was a great idea to scan origami paper. The background is really pretty too.

Wow, that's lovely work. The only suggestion I have is some darker skin shades, since everything else blends in with the color scheme nicely. Other than that it looks very detailed and sharp!

Yeah, it's a rather interesting story. Jon started a website for it a few years ago, and is only now talking about updating it. Pretty nice work, The design on the clothing is pretty cool, very good detail. shading is nice. the only complain i have is the hand, it doesnt really look like it has a good hold on the sword but maybe that was intended... nice work

Actually, when I started this thing it was never meant to be more than a scribble. I liked what it turned out to be though, so I inked it. And hands are my bane. That and feet, ugh. So. difficult. to. get. anatomy. correct.
