Description This scene takes place right after the previous pic of Rangiku and Gin in chapter 6. I have to admit, this was an emotional chapter which is why it was easy for me to do two pics for this one.
Hitsugaya's line: “...she shouldn’t have died, not for anyone but especially not for him! had me sniffing.
Story: Silent Force Author: Enchantable
[link]

Bleach, Hitsugaya, and Hinamori belongs to Tite Kubo
This was originally done in colored pencil but then I went over it in paintshop.

You're welcome!

That's one of the best things about deviantART: making friends and watching each other improve. I think we've been dA friends for a year now at least, and I think we both have gotten better. ^^

Yes, I can remember the first thing I fav'ved of yours, and that was the one of Shino standing in a pot holding the tree branches! Yep... actually, it might have been longer than that, 1 1/2 to 2 years! My times goes by quickly!
I agree, I can't see it so much in my work, but I can easily tell with yours, how it would go up in levels. Every couple of months I could would notice that improvement. It was very interesting and exciting to watch (and hopefully,at the time, also tell you as so you would be encouraged).

And I remember the first one I faved of yours was the ShinoHina from Why Love is Chaos. I think it has been that long, too. My, time does seem to fly!

What did you use to color it this time?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Dwellin In reply to Airumel [2008-11-16 18:53:26 +0000 UTC]

Oops, I did forget to mention that. The original is in colored pencil, but when I went in paintshop to fix a mistake... I couldn't stop myself from using the blending option and then going over and painting in the colors on top of the colored pencil. So, I guess it is a combination of traditional and computer.

I like my art tablet, but my favorite medium is colored pencils.
What do you like to use the best?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Airumel In reply to Dwellin [2008-11-20 20:57:15 +0000 UTC]

Pastel pencils are my current fave. Although, I've only used them twice so far. I love how they blend!!! (But before I use them for any anime pics I'm going to need a black and a white!) Otherwise I like colored pencils as well... just my current sketch book is crap and coloring looks horrible in it.

Dwellin In reply to Airumel [2008-11-21 19:20:48 +0000 UTC]

I have thought of trying them, but I haven't wanted to buy too many and then find out that I don't like them. That would be big disappointment!

Wow. This is incredibly touching as well! You do such an amazing job of drawing these scenes, its amazing to see everything captured so perfectly! They're both beautiful and sad...oh wow, are there any more sad scenes? I hope not!

Anyway, these are awesome and beautiful and I really love them! Great job!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Dwellin In reply to VrennaVrien [2008-11-16 04:07:27 +0000 UTC]

At first I wanted to draw it just as you described: in his office, desk, the ice going up the wall, very, very cool imagery... but as I pondered it, I realized that I could put all that in it, but the drawing wouldn't have the same emotional impact as the written scene. So, oddly enough, I just have the two of them to convey the emotion that you portrayed in the scene. Weird, no?

VrennaVrien In reply to Dwellin [2008-11-16 07:39:29 +0000 UTC]

Weird, yes but also very effective.
And once again you've inspired me to write an inexcusably fluffy HitsuHina oneshot.

Dwellin In reply to VrennaVrien [2008-11-16 19:06:32 +0000 UTC]

Hee hee! Is that so?! Oboyoboyoboy!
I have been rereading Silent Force (for obvious reasons) but also got caught up on some of the newer ones Hisana, Rukia, and Orihime shorts you did (I am taking it that they are shorter stories). I need to go back and start Arcana over again and Toro too.

VrennaVrien In reply to Dwellin [2008-11-16 19:18:23 +0000 UTC]

Its up! Its called "The Way I Am". Its way cuter than anything I've done before and it takes place before the SS arc. I included a little bit of Gin/Ran too.

Yeah the Ulquihime threeshot is going to have one more chapter since I;m pretty sure if I don't do that I'm going to get a lot of hate mail.

Same with the IchiRuki twoshot since I should probably finish that off.

As for the story with Hisana, that's probably going to turn epic relatively soon but I want to try and finish one of the others before. But then again I am at the mercy of my muse and if he wants it, I have to obey.

I've got two chapters of Arcana being beta read at the moment, one of which is the chapter I completely redid after seeing your picture of the Gin/Ran death scene and deciding that I had been WAY too cruel to Gin in those stories.

Dwellin In reply to VrennaVrien [2008-11-16 19:30:48 +0000 UTC]

Is it here or at fanfic? I want to go read it... "mustreadmustreadmustread"!
Yeah, poor Gin. I was thinking as I read Silent Force, about how out of place he must feel waking up in Soul Society, knowing that the War was lost, Aizen is gone, and he is at their mercy, whatever form that should take. And then losing Rangiku.
But you know, he did bring it on himself, there is always, "for every action there is an opposite and equal reaction" (ie. One's consequences come back to bite on the butt).
It amazes me that you can keep so many different stories, not to mention plots, in your head without getting them confused!

VrennaVrien In reply to Dwellin [2008-11-16 19:35:29 +0000 UTC]

Hey!
I just posted it on ff.net like five minuets ago so its probably not up quite yet.

Yeah plots not getting confused is a bit of a chore, I'm half surprised I don't put parts of my school papers into stories!

Dwellin In reply to VrennaVrien [2008-11-16 19:46:52 +0000 UTC]

Oh b0y!
I be it comes through here before too long, but the heck with that, I'm gonna go look for it!
I could just see part of your paper getting into one of the stories:

Hitsugaya reached for her hand, his bright aqua eyes and looked deeply into her honey-brown ones, which were wide with wonder and anticipation. Slowly his head moved closer until his lips nearly touched hers and then he softly whispered, "The Louisanna Purchase was a huge tract of land the U.S. bought from France in the year...."

Hee hee...

Bad me, bad me!

Hopefully you won't have your homework come through in a story, but it was quite amusing just thinking about it. But yeah, for an off-the-cuff scene it would be way hotter if Hitsu was talking Hist-ory to Momo.

VrennaVrien In reply to Dwellin [2008-11-18 23:03:23 +0000 UTC]

Ha ha but I actually did double check the new chapter of Arcana before posting it. Despite a massive Economics paper that was in production at the same time, the story remained schoolwork free--though I think that's more de to my beta-reader than me .

Anyway I posted a new chapter of Arcana and I don't know how far behind you are but this is the chapter I reworked because of your drawing. If you're in a GinRan mood you should check it out.
