Description
Oakland Station is located in Oakland, Maryland, the county seat of Garrett County. The station was built in the later half of the 19th Century for the B&O Railroad. Throughout it history, many people including the likes of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford passed through the station on their way to vacation at Swallow Falls. While the station is no longer open to passengers, it is operated as a museum and open Monday-Saturday.
