I think I've mentioned before, but their story takes place in Southern California.

sorry for this extraaa late question but how come mallory's color keeps changing but lissy's and jayden's color does not like pink for lissy and green for jayden but mal is red,periwinkle,and yellow?

Ahh, sometimes I don't pay attention to the colors because I just want to do what looks good for the general composition
Mal's colors are red and periwinkle/faded blue, but since she doesn't branch out much beyond that, I end up not using much of either color in fears of washing her out completely.
Hope that makes sense?

I decided to revisit this piece, and wow, Sam looks a lot like her mom and she has her daddy's eyebrows. [: You're so good at family resemblances! And I like the way you draw her dad, I'm so used to drawing young guys so idk how to draw adults. v n v What did you use to help you?

Drawing older people takes a bit of practice in realism.
Observing how the skin wrinkles and sags with age is really up to studying real people or photographs

does it take you very long? ?u? I can draw the clothing fairly well, but when it comes to coloring it o - o yeah, bleh.
Good fashion styles for the characters a s well. Very consistent and realistic. n u n this project is an inspiration to me!

some of the clothes are photo-manipulated, but it does take a good while either way!
the thing that takes long for photo-manipulating is you have to make sure it doesn't look slapped on, so you need to cover it up with your own drawing.
Rendering it by hand takes a long time just because of all the details, but it's a lot more straight-forward

But i do like Sam's mom's name. There's a song by Jet called "Eleanor" [I guess it can be pronounced the same? xD], her mood in the picture reminds me of the mood the song puts me in. 0:
