Description
My next Monstervania submission, this time, it is based on the Japanese folkloric oni. In my take on the oni, it is a species of orangutan that evolved to live in Japan after being separated from the mainland orangutan populations once Japan split off from the mainland. The oni is also the smallest species of orangutan, only growing to be slightly bigger than the siamang gibbons. It can be distinguished from other orangutans by its darker fur and skin color, as well as thicker fur to survive harsh snowy winters.

Imagine a world where monsters, mythical creatures, and other fictional organisms existed in real life. Here, we have a speculative look of what these scientifically accurate monsters and other mythics would look, act, and sound like. However, we not only show monsters and other mythics, but also movie monsters/villains reimagined as real animals, plants, and fungi.
