2 pages of thumbnails in my (at the time) new sketchbook. 2 days worth of work and exploration. My eyes were about ready to bleed out near the end, but they've been extremely helpful in understanding design and form at its basic function.Value studies based off these works posted here:

I'm working on a few right now...it's really forcing me to think about spacial relationships for value, rather than just blocking out shapes. It's a little more challenging than I thought it was going to be at first.

Definitely. When you're working that small you have to make decisions that are still going to be readable and aren't going to black out your whole frame.
