So yeah, I just couldn't resist doing another Gan Ning image. Let me tell you, this was one was totally fun to do. It's amazing looking back through all of my progressions up until this piece. I've done two other Gan Nings before this one, the first which I shudder to look at, the second which I still like even though I definitely wish I could have changed a lot, and then this one, which I'm extremely happy with. I'm contemplating going into more detail with this one, doing the designs on the clothing and the armour like I did with the previous one, but I wanted to get this clean on done first before I muck it up with designs.

Changes between this one ad the last one...the gauntlets. Major changes made there. His hair and his face, subtle changes like more hair and less natural more game characterish. More lighting and shadows, major differences, but still a lot of improvement is needed. And the biggest change of all....I completely designed the pose all myself. No reference material, no looking at the game character, no influences whatsoever. This pose is entirely original and entirely fabricated from my own little imagination. Major step seeing as on the last Gan Ning I did I used a freeze frame pose of his fighting stance at the end of his Musou. Cheers!
