Sigh - I've totally got to save up some coin and do a trip up there.  Would love to take my girl too, but all I can imagine is her complaining at me pulling over and taking photos all the time.

I might try and fit in a weekend trip to Taupo first.  Or maybe a slightly longer one, to Rotorua as well.  I could just imagine the amazing texture shots I could get from some of the geothermal stuff.

I did the trip on the cheap, traveled with a couple of mates and freedom camped most of the time. And yes, I had to be disciplined in my photo taking or I would have quickly become Mr unpopular!

Oh I hate that though, when you have your camera all you want to do is take as much time as you need to with it, and there is that corner and you just have to know what is around it in case it is something awesome!

That's what happens when two photographers travel together... you often see and photograph the same stuff, in different ways of course, and mostly independently of each other. And usually in good spirits as is the case here! Just as well, or Mr W would eat me for breakfast and rightly so!
