- Five teens, all traumatized by the church, all disabled in one way or another. These five teens banded together the create a circus. This circus employs all sorts of people with one thing in common: they’ve either been traumatized or shunned by the church. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, and everyone in between, welcome to Sister Boyer’s Infinite Circus! -

This started out as an exercise where I redesigned the chaotic combo (brownie points if you know who/what I’m talking about), but the concept of them being a traveling circus took on a life of its own and this was born. I’m not gonna write fully fletched out profiles for these guys, not yet at least. But I will tell you their names and roles.

Front and center is the ringmaster, Angie Boyer. Angie was born and raised in typical super church. Upon realizing that she’s a lesbian, the church members did a variety of things to shun her, traumatizing her and causing her to run away.

To Angie’s right is the main magician, Willy Chan. Willy is psychic. His church used his powers to their advantage, ultimately traumatizing him and causing him to run away.

To Angie’s left is the main fire-eater and strongman, Perry Irwin. Perry has always stood up for what’s right and questioned everything. This trait caused the church to shun him, even getting physically aggressive with him. This treatment made him resent the church and caused him not to run away, but literally leave mid-service.

Above Perry, Willy, and Angie are the two lead acrobats, Wendell and BiBi Dixon. Both of them were raised in a church orphanage, which was very abusive. Naturally, the trauma they endured eventually caused them to run away.

As for what animals they are, Angie’s a lion, Willy’s a tapir, Perry’s a buffalo, Wendell’s a squirrel, and BiBi’s a dugong.
