Description this is my robot.
he was inspired by watching "appleseed" like 6 times over the last week. i've never really been much into anime stuff, but this movie is freaking awesome.
so anyway, staring at all that amazing artwork inspired me to create my own robot. hope you like him.

drawn in photoshop with wacom tablet. no references.

NOTE: most people lookin at anime will have already seen this movie, but i'd never heard of it. it's called "appleseed" and it's anime done with 3DCG technology. this movie just blew me away, it's absolutely awesome artwork, i highly recommend it to any artist, whether your into "anime" or not.

I came at Appleseed the same way you did. Never payed much attention to animΓ©, but this and Akira are two of my favourite movies.

Great artwork in this piece. Looks like he'll blow us away if we give him half a chance.

Well it's 2D animation rather than 3D, but it's really impressive. The detail is amazing and it's got a great story too. Definitely worth renting or buying.

Oh wow. Very nicely done. I love the shading/colors of this. Appleseed was a great movie and the robot character in that (can't remember his name right now) was an awesome design. Very nice work

hehe, i appreciate the compliment, but it's really just the amount of practice. i've been drawing like mad and reading every book i can find on traditional drawing and painting styles and it's finally starting to show through in my work. just keep on drawing and learning all you can and you'll be stealing commissions off me in no time

lol I already have my own techniques, but i don't use the comp for anything else but scanning, otherwise all my stuff is hand done, and I see ya really pushed forward for it, and it looks great

thanks man thought i'd try somethin a bit different, and he came out cooler than i expected- which was a pleasant surprise yay for 3 point perspective, it's really given my artwork some more punch.
