Happy Halloween motherfuckers!

Told you this one would be different, not exactly spooky although if you saw this giant jack-o'-lantern Mecha vaporizing your city I'm sure you'd be crapping all over yourself regardless of the ridiculous look. And this was my final idea for this year being the final image released on the day itself which I don't know why I thought of a giant robot made out of pumpkins has the last image but it came to me it was super unique so I knew I had to do it.

It originally was going to use different pumpkins than the TF2 ones but deciding on having a more cohesive art style I removed the other ones switching things around making everything fit. I knew I wanted one hand to be the one eyed jack-o'-lantern shooting a laser and the other to just be a fist. Kind of like that Dragon Mec guy from Gundam Wing which I'm too lazy to look up his name. Originally the one in the middle has the chest was going to be the head before I went with team fortress 2 items only deciding to make it the chest having a face on it like Gurren Lagann and the typical Power Ranger zord to make it more like the stereotypical mecha.

Horseless Headless Horsemann's Head was perfect for the actual head has it's already basically a helmet which I was going to use the actual guy himself but I couldn't use his candle without showing off his neck and his outfit so I went with his cosmetic instead. The buildings originally envisioned as skyscrapers but I couldn't find a proper model I really wanted either as a loan skyscraper or in bunches that could be made to look convincing so I went with these I think day of defeat or half-life 2 destroyed buildings models which weren't really the greatest but they're all I could really find at the moment.

Pumpkin Prime does in fact have legs they're just covered being two pumpkin stacked on each other side-by-side but no feet though figuring they couldn't be seen from the angle I was going to place him. I did have to slightly adjust his torso so it would not clip into the buildings so he is technically standing in a funny angle, also I had to adjust the placement of the thumb when doing multiple pictures as well as the lighting around the laser coming out of the eye which the laser itself was the Light & Dark saber beams model.

Then I stuck the moon up there for an excuse for some backlighting and not just to have the sky blank which I was going to use smoke but decided not to futz with it going with the moon instead. And has for the name I really couldn't think of anything to outstanding other than a parody of optimus prime with names like jack-o'-lantern zord or maybe something to do with Voltron roaming around my head but none really stuck out so I went with the obvious one. Despite the fact he is clearly a villain and more of a Mec than a giant robot.

On that these were my Halloween posters for this year actually turning out super well for the most part minus a few hiccups here in their. But everything is a learning process and I improve each time I create with still a few ideas vaguely running around my head with one or 2 more defined ideas I may use next year if I don't have another miracle brainstorm at the end of September like I did this year. So until next year have a happy Halloween and keep safe out there.
