Description
I made this sculpture in 12th grade (my senior year of highschool). I was 17 years old at the time. My teacher art had assigned everyone in my art class to sculpt a mug. I sculpted the entirety of the mug (with the exception of the handle) using a pottery wheel. After I made the mug on the pottery wheel, I attached the handle to the mug. I then sanded the mug until the mug was smooth and nice looking.

This mug was also the first thing I glazed during my senior year. And because the mug was the first thing I glazed, I decided to make it rainbow colored. I figured that doing a rainbow color would get me very familiar with working with glazes.
