To be honest, I'm in 2 minds about Spildit.
On the one hand, she's as annoying as they come, but on the other, she's the only being on existence who DOESN'T treat the Urpneys like irredeemable monsters, so that makes her more likeable.Β

I didn't really find Spildit that annoying, though it might just be due to the comparison to most of the other heroes, who were boring as hell. Better a bit obnoxious than NOTHING. And yes, her friendly enemy chemistry with the Urpneys more than redeemed it anyway. Even when she was at war with them she tended not to overdo it like the other heroes did.

There really should have been more characters who were sympathetic to the Urpneys.
In fact, that's partly what inspired the creation of my OC Cassandra (did I tell you about her? I forget) - I wanted someone else who was nice to the Urpneys, and since Frizz is my favorite character, I decided to have her interact with him the most. Maybe that's why she evolved into his Love Interest.
I've been thinking - maybe her status as a Noop-Wut hybrid is why she's so sympathetic. Maybe she compares the Urpney's situation to the shock and fear she's received most of her life due to being a hybrid who supposedly possesses dark magic powers. Then again, the two scenarios aren't really that similar, are they?
What do you think?Β

Not just in the sense of the mean spiritedness, but the fact that the heroes having no chemistry with the villains was kinda boring. Rufus was a dippy/airhead character, such characters usually having hilarious chemistry with not-so-evil villains (eg. Spongebob vs Plankton).
Seems like a decent idea, but keep in mind the Urpneys are just as scared of such things themselves. Hell, they're scared of just standard Noops and Wuts, let alone a merging of both.

*Giggle* It's not gonna be Love At First Sight, silly! While she's nice to him from the start, since she's a naturally kind-hearted being, he's scared stiff of her at first, and while he slowly warms up to her, there's some more fear when he discovers her secret (I don't wanna give away TOO much, but I promise it'll be explained in-story) - heck, even HE'SΒ surprised that he's starting to see her as a friend/girlfriend.
Mind you, that's where I'm having the most trouble with the story - the way I have things planned right now, he seems to go from 'terrified' to 'accepting her as a friend' to 'love-struck' a little TOO quickly. I mean, Character Development is one thing, but I highly doubt that she'd cause him to go from coward to courageous like that.
By the way, if you're wondering about the other Love Interests for the other stories...well, I don't know HOW sympathetic they're gonna be - after all, Shade has no way of travelling to the Land of Nightmares and seeing Zordrak for herself, while Hydrina hasn't known the Urpneys for very long and is kind of sheltered and naive, although she slowly grows out of it as her story progresses.

Tea party with Rufus is the GREATEST thing. Love how you've got him wearing that fancy hat and necklace.
