You wouldn't believe how many times Astatos-Luna asked me if it was done.Now I know how everyone else feels when I ask them about picture progress.
Anyway, this is another one of the collaborations I tend to do as of late. This time, it was with Astatos-Luna. As usual, she did the sketch work, while I applied the highlights, shading, colors, and effects. In this pic, Malon is getting all dressed up in a lovely seal suit! I never worked with a suit like this one before, so it was interesting when I had to deal with the eyes. Also, I like how I did the water droplets on the suit. I had an idea on how to do them for a long time, actually, so it was cool that I was able to make it a reality!
Even though I did not get this finished until months after you drew it, Astatos-Luna (I forgot what you wanted me to call you for now on), I had a good time and I would like to arrange another one pretty soon.

Oh, sorry about not responding for awhile there. You see, I got all tied up with activities involving my family and Don't Starve. In short, I'm left with not all that much time to be on DA.
Anyway, about the concept, I have to say it is very pretty. Even though I don't care for face paint, you're right about how she looks prettier like that. She looks a lot like a Zora if you ask me. I do find it a little strange that she doesn't have any legs, but it's fine.
In any case, I thank you for the concept. You could draw it like this if you want to, but would you mind if I ask for something else that isn't a dolphin suit?

Yes, I just finished playing to get back to drawing. I have a lot of Don't Starve ideas in my head as a result.
Well, for the legs, I know that they are inside the suit, but I find it strange that they are not leggings, like my actual dolphin suit. I like your idea, but I wanted to have her legs free.
OK, for the idea have, I think I will give you a choice, would you like to draw Anju in a latex Cucco suit, or draw something involving Wendy from Don't Starve?

hmm, if I took a crack at the don't starve style I see myself making thicker lines than the official art, and it would pretty much be a chibi. But if I were to make it full body it would be a merge of my style with a strong don't starve theme. Generally I would incorporate the don't starve art style in the picture, unless you want it to b all my style, it's really up to you, I'm good with either.
Personally I think I would like to make a full body picture with flat colours kinda saturated like the games style is. Again, it's your choice

also, do you want the firefly suit to look exactly like that one? (fireflies look a little different, but I could make it look like that if you want it to it's no biggie.)

Hmmm... Could I see the ideas for each one? Also, I want the suit to be just like the one I've shown you. All you need to know is that the yellow oval around the tail is the glow (a feather glow is nice), her ponytails are sticking out of a hole or two in the back of the hood, and I would like the flower-like thing she has in her hair remaining in the same place on the hood.
Also, what do you mean by fireflies looking different? Are you talking about how they actually in the game?

Ieee!!! So attractive! ..... Whoops! Sorry about that reaction... I really like it! Everything about it is great! Even Abigail helping her put it on is a nice touch! I was wondering how you would include her, so this works!
Now then, when you finalize it, could you please do two things? First of all, I know that the character has blank eyeballs, but would you mind including some pupils and irises? I was thinking a very light blueish grey could be a nice color. Abigail's eyes are fine as they are, so you don't have to worry about that. As for the pattern on the front of the suit, would it be possible for it to continue between the legs, so it can eventually connect with the tail? If that just looks bad, then don't worry about it and leave the pattern as it is...... But if the pattern is already continuing in the sketch and I was unable to identify that, then please forgive me for being a little foolish...
Anyway, how much is this going to be? Just so you know, my Grandad is here, but he won't be staying for any longer. He'll help me use his Paypal to pay you as soon as possible, so I hope I could pay you before it's too late. Also, he mentioned that his Paypal might be short on funds, so if that could be a problem, I'll let you know.

The pattern continuing on the inside of the legs? that sounds really interesting actually I'll give it a shot, slightly disappointed if it doesn't work, but I'll try.
as for the price, err..... full body images are $20 and additional characters are $15 but I wont be charging for Abigail since I just added her in the pic on my own. Normally it would come to $50 but the character design is really simple and you commission me more than anyone has so I am willing to lower it to $40 for you, would you be able to afford that? if not let me know we can work something out.

Also, I think you misunderstood what I said about the pattern. When I said I would like it to continue between the legs, I actually meant her crotch area instead of putting the pattern on the legs. I thought I made it as clear as possible without saying such an offensive word, but I think I didn't make myself that clear. Sorry about that...

Well! I'm surprised that you already started! Does that mean you got a new tablet then?
Anyway, when you do the lineart, could I suggest some things? How about making the bags under Wendy's eyes a little more subtle? Also, before putting on the suit, could you also let her have a bit of a subtle smile? As for Abigael's face and Wendy's face once the suit is completely on, could you please not include a nose or a mouth?
I realize that this is a little too much to ask for when you are so late in drawing it, but I thought those could be neat ideas. What do you think?

nope! duct tape! does wonders. Though it does still lose connection sometimes not nearly as often.

Well, at least it's the kind of tablet problem duct tape could fix. If you nub gets jammed into your stylus, then not even duct tape could save you. Trust me... I had to learn that the hard way.
Oh, you did? That's fantastic! I would also ask if you are going to add a bit of a glow around the tail, but I should have no worries on that since you probably one step ahead of me on that! *Chuckles*
By the way, how do you think Wilson and Maxwell would react to Wendy in her Firefly suit? You don't need to draw them. I was just wondering.

I honestly don't know how they would react, admittedly I've only watched my boyfriend play as Wendy so far since he owns the game and I don't. The moment I saw Wendy though I could not get over how adorable she is

Yes, Wendy is adorable! Even though she can be a little morbid at times, she is far more adorable than Willow (another Don't Starve girl). Sips' Let's Play of Don't Starve could put you up to speed.
