Ok so i've been working on this picture from time to time for a while now and i'm very happy with the result. I was done with the picture when i decided to add the three little characters almost in the middle of the scene. Im happy i did that because now this images tells a little story and thats what i want to do. It also gives a much better idea of the gigantic size of the tree on the right. Very interesting. I'd sure be interested to know how that ship got there. Kind of like a story a wanted to write about a Spanish ship that ended up stranded on an island full of prehistoric creatures. I'll have to keep this in mind and stare at it for inspiration if I ever sit down and write it. Amazing work and thanks for posting this!

I like the colors and lighting you used in this one. Makes the piece look mysterious.You also let the brush strokes give your objects form without going in and noodling detail in... good job.

j'aime beaucoup l'éclairage diffus qui apporte une belle palette de couleurs désaturées. Les coups de pinceau sont très grunge. Ça donne un ambiance pesante et viscérale.
C'est très rare que je choisisse de faire des compositions carré. Les compositions rectangulaires sont plus dynamiques quoique dans ton cas ça semble bien marcher. Je pense qu'il y a un problème de fréquences. Les roches sous l'arbre au loin se répètent aussi souvent que les roches à l'avant-plan. Moi j'aurais rendu ces roches complètement différentes.
Je trouve ausi que l'arbre du milieu est de taille trop égale à l'épave. Ça brise l'unité de la composition. Ça crée une tension que j'aurais brisé en agradissant de beaucoup le bateau. De toute façon, tes persos, je pense qu'ils sont trop gros pour le bateau. Tchèque la taille de la porte. Aussi, j'aurais placés tes persos à différentes profondeurs.

J'aime beaucoup le traitement des roches en avant-plan, le trait est sketchy mais maîtrisé.
Je suis d'accord avec toi, une image qui raconte une histoire à elle seule, c'est nettement plus intéressant !
