Thank you so much... I am heading to another small cemetery here soon, waiting for the perfect day. Sometimes I just get lucky and all of the elements are there for a great shot.
I appreciate your comment!

Actually, funny as this is... this is Southern Arizona. Spring has just hit, I have 20 new rolls of non x-ray zapped film, so I will be surprising folks with some more desert shots here very soon. We transform around these parts into the most amazing place to shoot... so much variation. Plus we have the renaissance fest coming up... lots of good op there.
My mom currently lives in Kentucky so I do a lot of shooting around those states as well... ironically I have a roll to develop that is of local (Southern Az) farm barns... however they look so much like the ones in Kentucky I had to laugh.

This is a tiny little graveyard in Pearce Arizona, its basically one of our Ghost towns by now, and we have plenty of those. Pearce itself is a beautiful place, has a tiny place named Ghost town inside it... plus the road that leads from Pearce to Tombstone is the one that caught me by surprise. Its a back road through a mountain that is so beautiful.
I hope to post more work like this soon..thank you so much for your compliment!

Thank you so much for the compliments! I love the light leaks... even when I think I have my Holga taped up correctly lo and behold she works herself a new light leak. They always add something positive to the shot I think ... that explains why I dont get upset at her stubbornness... I haven't ever met someone as stubborn as me, then I met my camera of choice, I knew I met my match haha

Thank you! The Holga decides when to add those elements I swear. I tape her up tight to prevent most of the leaks... but she always slips one in somewhere, just to make the shot look a little better I think. My Holga is the artist, I just do what she tells me, I swear it feels like that some days Lol

Yeah lol... I tape mine up, but always leave room for the Holga to express itself, you will probably laugh, but I have three Holga's, they all shoot completely different... its a blast. I will keep an eye out for more Holga shots from you... more "leaky" shots hehe!

I usually shoot in b/w for some reason. Your right, I just throw the photo into PS and change it to a bw if I want, so I am not sure why I shoot in bw more often. How weird... oh well, if thats the weirdest thing I did I would be ok lol.
I am with you on the light... the logical side pushes to find the source or the leak, the romantic photographer side comes up with a background story to go with the photo.
Thank you !

The light streak really makes the photo, I think.

I think so too, I love shooting with the Holga since I have odd occurrences happen, so I get the personality of the camera, the object and mine all wrapped into one photo... leaves a surprise for me when I develop the shots hehe.

Thank you much!
These places are always empty when I am there... the way I like it though. It feels like you sense more, actually feel some of their presence. Some of these were so old, cowboys buried here that had crosses of wood and wire everywhere. I love doing photo shoots at old graveyards
