This painting took me ages to finish (almost 10 days !) because I struggled with colors big time. As soon as I thought I had it, the sky seemed either too dark or too bright, sometimes the skin color just melted into the background ,but alas the struggle paid off. The piece has a muted and gentle palette that I wanted to achieve.
And may I admit that I am proud of myself for overcoming the odds . And remembering how I struggled just a year ago, motivates me to push even further and tackle all the things that seem hard to me now, but will surely seem easy in 2018.
